Hi everyone my name is Billy Jacobsen and I have been using the QiBounder for over a year now and I love it. I’m a type 1 diabetic and I’m also deaf so I use the QiBounder just about every day in order to help protect my eyes. Bouncing on a trampoline is the number 1 thing one can do for their eyes so I’m pretty fanatical about it. I try to rebound about an hour or so daily if I can.

I’m also a father of 4 and I’m this year’s national pickleball champion in both singles and doubles.  I use the Qibounder daily to help with my diabetes and to maintain my fitness for sports. – Billy Jacobsen

    Weight Loss
    There is no doubt about it but by religiously jumping on the QiBounder you will keep the weight off or if need be lose weight. You can run in place or use small hand weights while bouncing or jump vigorously from side to side like you are skiing or front and back and over time the weight will be gone or you maintain your weight/fitness.

    The best part is that you can do this in the privacy of your home and don’t need to run in crummy weather or pound your joints. QiBounder along with pushups, squats and a few other body weight exercises will keep you in prime condition and help fight off any health issues.

    QiBounding increases Endurance
    One thing I ‘ve really noticed about the QiBounder is that it greatly increases your endurance. During the winter months I just use the QiBounder (I don’t belong to a club) and do some body weight exercises but no running of any kind and yet when I compete in pickleball tournaments I have enough endurance to play 6 to 8 hours of pickleball against the best players in the country.

    It is a very comforting feeling to know that I don’t have to run and pound my joints into the ground or have to join a club to spend endless hours on cardio machines when I can simply jump on my QiBounder and still have the endurance to outlast most everyone.

    Using Hand Weights
    Often times I will use small hand weights from 1 to 3 pounds to get a very good upper body workout while bouncing on the QiBounder. For me I just simply pump my arms up and down like running in place and just get in a smooth rhythm. One can do some 300 lifts per arm in ten minutes. I don’t usually bother lifting the weights above my shoulders but just do the running in place motion and kind of zone out. Make sure the weights are small enough so don’t cause any unnecessary arm soreness – usually shouldn’t feel sore at all. This is just another way to keep in better shape and get those arms toned.

    Get rid of muscle pain faster than anything with QiBounding
    One of the best things for me to do whenever I get muscle soreness from playing tennis and/or pickleball is to immediately the next day to jump on the QiBounder. It gets rid of muscle pain faster than anything I know of. When I play in these all day pickleball tournaments – about 8 hours worth you get so sore you can hardly move the next day and a lot of times I would wait two to four days for the soreness to go away and then I would us the QiBounder.

    What I finally figured out it was much better to jump the very next day after the tournamnent – even though I was super sore, after forcing myself to jump the soreness would go away like magic. Probably because the lactic acid and such was forced out of the muscle and of course the blood flow helps the muscle heal. So now I always make sure I jump the day after doing some tough physical event instead of waiting 2 to 4 days for the muscle soreness to go away.

    How I fight colds with QiBounding
    As long as my stomach is not too upset I make sure I use the QiBounder whenever I’m feeling poorly. For me it really helps fight off colds and general sickness. So when other people may just lay in bed all day I try to make sure I bounce but I don’t have to bounce hard and put much energy into it, I just go at a very relaxed pace and put 10 to 20 minutes in. I generally recover way more faster than just laying around.

    My children, me and my Rebounder – quality time!
    I have four kids and when they were very little – a few months old I would put the baby in a infant snuggly thing that you wear in front of your chest and I would bounce them to sleep. My feet would never leave the mat but I would go up and down and within a few minutes the baby would be out like a light. I made sure I held the child’s head if the neck wasn’t stong enough. When they out grew the snuggly thing I put the child sitting down by my feet and they would rest up against my shins and very soon they would be out. It was a nice little bonding ritual I did for each of my kids until they were about 18 months old. My kids are now 15, 13, 10 and 8. I sometimes miss those days of putting them to sleep by using a rebounder.

      That is so sweet. What a wonderful father you are! I know quite a lot of children now who grew up with a bellicon. And it is amazing to see them. One of them is my brothers’s daughter. She is 4 now and so surefooted that it is just amazing. She bounced already on her own on the bellicon at age 2. And when she just was a baby, my brother told me that – whenever she was crying (unless she the reason was hunger) and he went on the bellicon with her and would softly bounce – that she stopped crying instantly. He once filmed that and even I could not believe it: It was like a light switch. He bounced ONE bounce and she would be quiet. I showed a lot of women how to bring their crying babies to sleep, just by holding them in their arms and softly bouncing on the bellicon rebounder.     How using the Qibounder affects my type 1 diabetes:

    I’ve read in a few rebounding books that the number 1 exercise and pretty much the only single exercise that directly affects the eyes are rebounders. The eyes have the smallest vessels in the body so it doesn’t take much to affect them. By jumping up and down the vessels in the eyes stretch back and forth which in turn squeezes the toxins out of the eyes, which in my case which be excessive sugars. For me my eyes have been in very good shape which I credit to my rebounding habit. Also anytime my blood sugars are running high I take a small shot and start bouncing. It doesn’t take long for my blood sugars to come rapidly back down.

    I believe exercise is the most important thing for a diabetic to do by far to keep oneself healthy or at least fairly healthy. A lot of times I simply do not feel very good due to my blood sugars and thinking of having to do any exercising is not all that appealing but jumping on the Qibounder makes exercising a whole lot easier than having to go for a run or go workout on the weights or anything of that nature.

    It seems like a million times I have felt quite lousy but by the time I have jumped for a half hour or so I feel a heck of a lot better. You have to keep that blood moving or your body will start deteriorating at least I think that way. “Use it or lose it” is one of my favorite sayings. By rebounding all the time I’m working my body and give it the exercise and blood flow that it needs. I hope to be cured someday but until that day arrives the Qibounder is keeping me healthy.

    No time needed for QiBounding – I can do it while watching TV!
    One of the things I love about owning a QiBounder is the convenience of it. I can simply start jumping while watching TV and I don’t have to drive to a gym or pound my joints outside running. It is a great pick me up type of thing I can use anytime while I’m at home and meanwhile I’m doing myself a lot of good.
