I am really missing QiBounding today. I haven't been on my Bellicon in 2 days because I began feeling flu-like symptoms Wednesday about noon. I had done a short session before going to work, but by the time I came home, all I wanted to do was go straight to bed. I could barely stand, so QiBounding was not even on my radar. I managed to move to the sofa and even felt well enough to walk around on Thursday, but to bounce? No way! I was still far too wobbly.

And, even though I returned to work today (Friday), I chose not to do a QiBounding session. I always like to give my body an extra day to get well after being sick. Even when it appears to be just a 24-hour bug.

So, I'm taking today off the QiBounder, but I keep looking at it and thinking about it. It's quite tempting to bounce just a little, but I know I need to make sure I'm healthy. After all, the flu can mess up one's equilibrium.

So, I will wait until tomorrow morning when I'll be so excited to bounce on my own little cloud again. Until then, I'll be happy tonight to just practice standing and walking without getting dizzy.

Hi Susan,
I have not noticed any negative effect to the abdominal viscera and organs. My rebounding does not tend to be intense, though. I'm amazed at how much light bouncing increases my energy and strengthens my core.

I used to run and do Pilates before two traffic accidents in 2 years sidelined me. The spring rebounder reminded my knees of running (not thrilling). The Bellicon is much easier on my knees. The jarring sensation of pounding feet on pavement compared to the soft bouncing on a bungee tied mat is dramatic. It truly is like bouncing on a cloud. And, it's wonderful to know that I don't have to jump high or for several hours to feel the positive effects.

I have to believe that the positive effects I have found using the Bellicon extend to my internal organs. After all, I can feel my core strenthening, which I haven't felt since before the two accidents.

Dear Susan, Thank you for your comment. We have never experienced problems in this regards. This might be because we use soft bouncing bellicon rebounders (not hard bouncing spring rebounders). What exactly have you heard about those problems? Kind regards, Sylvia (founder of the QiBounding method).

I am concerned about a possible negative effect to the abdominal viscera and organs from intense rebounding workouts done over time. Could you possibly address this issue? Thank you.

Started my day with 5 minutes of Qibounding, which led to a day filled with energy. Even though I forgot to pack my full lunch last night (I had the fruit and carrots, just no protein), I still had enough energy to teach all day.
Of course, I was quite hungry by the time I got home, so drank a bottle of water and ate before I got bounced for my afternoon session. Then, I bounced for 20 minutes with lots of knee lifts/"walking in place". While I was doing that, I saw a treadmill commercial, and could only think that I've got the treadmill beat. My Bellicon takes up less space than a treadmill, and I can walk, run, twist, bounce, and do even more than I could ever do on a treadmill. For one thing, on a treadmill, I would only be able to face one direction; on my Bellicon, I can completely turn around and around and around. haha Bellicon 1 Treadmill 0.

Go Bellicon!!!!
